Overview

Part of the FEMA Public Assistance Program Under Prime Contractor Fluor Government Group. This position has very specific requirements.  Please read them carefully.

 

 

Responsibilities

Part of the Fluor Public Assistance Program, the Construction Manager facilitates and coordinates the effective, efficient, and accurate delivery of grant funding.

  • Construction Managers will assist local government agencies in the preparation of grant application for a variety of damaged public infrastructure to include roads, bridges, buildings and utilities
  • Construction Managers will write complex Project Worksheets (PWs) to determine project eligibility, scopes of work and estimating cost to repair or replace a facility/structure to restore it to its pre-disaster design
  • Insure compliance with FEMA Public Assistance policy and procedure

 

  • Payment is contingent upon client, deployment type and location.

Qualifications

Requirements –

 

First Level - Educational requirements are an undergraduate degree with 2 years in a documented construction manager role involving commercial claims or government insurance OR 5 years in above field of expertise

 

Second Level – Educational requirements are an undergraduate degree with 5 years in a documented construction manager role involving commercial claims or governmental insurance OR 10 years in above field of expertise

 

Third Level - Educational requirements are an undergraduate degree with 10 years in a documented construction manager role involving commercial claims or government insurance OR 15 years in above field of expertise

 

  • Detailed Resume is required that must correspond to work history answered in the screening questions
  • Subject to DHS / FEMA Background check in which some dis-qualifiers may include, but are not limited to: felony conviction, back taxes, bankruptcy, DUI, back owed child support, bad credit
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills. Proficient MS office suite: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable using web-based programs
  • Must commit to a 3-12-month assignment
  • 10-12 hours a day for extended periods of time
  • Must mobilize within 24-48 hours of assignment
